The Kaleidos Foundation was created in 2010 for the promotion and dissemination of the works by Argentine-Dutch composer and author Carlos Micháns. The name of the Foundation was borrowed from his Sinfonia Concertante Nr. 3, "Kaleidos" (Greek for "beautiful image"), a major composition with a great diversity of moods, expression and orchestral colour.

A second goal of the Foundation is to to organise and/or facilitate and promote
cultural activities around the various collections built up over the years by Carlos Micháns and covering several sections. This can be done by (1) organising and/or facilitating exhibitions of the collections of Carlos Micháns; (2) organising and/or facilitating lectures about them; (3) publishing and/or facilitating the publication of related catalogues and/or monographs.

The board of the Kaleidos Foundation is formed by: Marian van Dijk (chair person), Wil Snoek (secretary and treasurer), Mariken Zandvliet and Axel Meijer, full members. Artistic adviser: Carlos Micháns. The Kaleidos Foundation has been granted the cultural "ANBI-status".

In order to achieve its goals, the Foundation needs all the help it can get from friends and culture-lovers. Financial support is not only welcome, but allow the Foundation to realise its activities.
